2nd Annual Tubac Paint-Out and Auction January 13, 2007

I managed to complete two pieces, with the one auctioned off titled "See Through" done of a sculpture "Essence" by Delmar Pettigrew viewed through another sculpture called "Story Teller" by David Unger in the Karin Newby Garden. My other painting "Lunch" is available for $200. An extremely large sculpture "Wind River" by Tobey Studios Inc. caught my eye. There were chili peppers hanging near by and the expression on the elk's face reminded me of what one might look like after eating something a bit too hot!

Although the weather was a bit chilly, it was a great time! Many thanks to the Karin Newby Gallery and the Tubac Center of the Arts for their work in making the Paintout and auction a great success.

As part of my participation, two of my painting are hanging in the Mayhew Gallery on Tubac Road. If you get a chance to go to the Tubac Festival of the Arts that runs February 7-11, 2007 stop in and say hello.
